Dr. Jemour Maddux is an experienced forensic psychologist
and Fully Vetted Expert Witness by the 18B Assigned Counsel Plan of
Dr. Maddux received his certificate
of completion from the American Prosecutor’s Research Institute’s training
program for interviewing children and preparing for court. He has thousands of
hours of forensic examination and treatment experience with children and adults
in civil and family law cases. Dr. Maddux also has thousands of hours of
criminal law experience having conducted therapy and provided assessments of
malingering, risk, sexual compulsivity, dangerousness, and mental state across
three prison settings and in private practice.
Dr. Maddux has published
research on diminished capacity, NGRI, forensic interviewing methods, and is a
peer reviewer for an International journal. Dr. Maddux teaches graduate level
Criminal Profiling and Forensic Interviewing and has held membership in the APA
American Psychology-Law Society and the New Jersey Psychological Association’s
Forensic Interest Group.
Dr. Maddux is no stranger to competition having won several state, county, and conference championships during his high school and college track and field career as a pole vaulter. He currently enjoys listening to audio books, playing violin, and is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu student under Renzo Gracie.
